This is a sixty-second commercial created in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 for my Audio and Video course. I filmed the footage with two of my classmates and I edited the video. We wanted the commercial to have a 1920’s feel. We dressed to match the era as best we could and I edited the video to be in black and white but we kept the gum pack in colour to add importance and focus being the gum.
Before we filmed we created a storyboard to keep ourselves on track while filming and to make sure we have the timing of each clip right since the video had to be 60 seconds exactly. The original ending for this commercial was for the bad guy to get caught at the end but while we were filming, the gum pack fell out of my blazer and we could not find it. This clip was a blooper but ended up being our favourite. Because we wanted to include it so much, we had to record some more scenes of the lady at the bar to make it appear as though she got hold of the gum pack instead.
Overall I am proud of how this one turned out but if I were to do this project again I would make the following changes:
